Amanda Marie Kester, 38, of Plymouth, PA, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 31, 2025.

Born December 3, 1986 in Scranton, PA. She was a graduate of the Geisinger Healthcare phlebotomy program and worked most recently as a traveling phlebotomist and in local hospitals.

Amanda loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. She had a larger-than-life personality and loved intensely. Obsessed with her cats Jinxy, Lulu, and Bubba, they were her "babies". Amanda had a passion for cooking, crabbing and was at the beach any chance she could.

She is survived by her "Mama Jean" Jeane Decker of Moosic, PA; two sisters: Megan Osterhout of Great Bend, PA and Jennifer Kester of Scranton, PA; one brother: Austin Decker of Moosic, PA; her nieces: Aylah, Kaliannah, and Kaitlyn; her nephews: Kaidan, Kolten and Jordan; her biological parents: Paul and Suzanne Kester; and her special friend and roommate: Melissa Shaver.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Helma and Bill Tomlinson; her uncle: Andrew Radwanski; and her beloved cat: Sassy.

A service for Amanda was held Friday, April 11, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Moosic Alliance Community Church, 608 Rocky Glen Road, Moosic, PA.

A celebration of Amanda's life will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Lackawanna State Park, 1839 Abington Road, North Abington Township, PA 18414.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Simplicity Cremation Care of NEPA.
