James H. “Jim” Bell Sr., 74, of Peckville/Blakely, Pennsylvania, formerly of Beacon, New York, passed away on August 10, 2026.

Jim was a beloved father, grandfather, friend, and truly remarkable man whose presence touched the lives of so many. He was blessed with many children, grandchildren, and countless friends, all of whom will carry his memory and the many moments they shared with him in their hearts.

Jim had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. These were more than hobbies to him; they were opportunities to enjoy the things he loved, spend time with family and friends, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Jim was also a dedicated firefighter who spent much of his life helping others and serving his community. He was the kind of person who was willing to lend a hand whenever someone needed it, and his willingness to help others was one of the many things that made him so special.

A self-taught mechanic, Jim had an incredible ability to figure things out and could fix nearly anything with his own two hands. He spent much of his life working on vehicles and solving problems, taking pride in knowing that there was very little he couldn’t repair if he put his mind to it.

But beyond all of these things, Jim will be remembered most for the person he was. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. His jokes, stories, laughter, and unique personality brought joy to the people around him and created countless memories that his family and friends will treasure forever.

Jim was a great man, a loving family member, a loyal friend, and someone who left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His loss leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who loved him, but the memories he created and the love he gave will continue to live on through his family and friends.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
