William E. Ellis, Sr., 75, of Hollisterville, PA, died Sunday, September 4, 2022 at home. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, the former Nancy Masker.

Born June 16, 1947 in Mobile, AL, he was the son of the late Aleta Smith McDonald.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had been a self-employed contractor. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by six children: Angela Leap and husband, Gary of Saylorsburg, PA, William Ellis, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Shirl VanScoy and companion, Jeff of Wellsboro, PA, Christopher Ellis of Fort Worth, TX, Matthew Ellis and wife, Nicole of Taylor, PA, and Patrick Ellis of Moscow, PA; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Donna Countryman, Judy and Joann McDonald all of New Jersey.

Private services will be held at the family's convenience.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Simplicity Cremation Care of NEPA.
